  • If your Okta dashboard is open (like if you logged in hours ago and the browser tab is still open), click the arrow by your name on the upper right side of the screen. Choose logout. Close your browser window and try signing in again.
  • Clear your browser cache
  • If you set up your security questions, you can change your password from Okta. On the login page, click the forgot password link under the box where you would enter your password.
  • Use this form to submit a password reset. Keep in mind that a person is emailing new temporary passwords; the process is not automated and so may take some time.

General tips:

  • Using a laptop or desktop computer is recommended when accessing Blackboard. Mobile devices may not properly load all content from Blackboard.

  •  Always use Google Chrome or Firefox to access Blackboard.  Other browsers may not load completely.

  • Do not rely on saved passwords.  After you clear your browser history, manually enter your password to access Blackboard.  If you save your passwords, you may update your password when prompted by your browser.

  •  Remember: Your username is your full ATC email address, including @student.athenstech.eduYour email password is also your Blackboard password. You are required to change your password every 42 days through Office 365 online.
  • If you are using the OKTA verify app for multifactor authorization, and are having issues, contact John White to reset your verification method. We recommend using SMS verification. Instructors: to reset your verification method, email Justin McCannon or Geoff Barrow.
